One thing I remind my clients to consider is how they might feel when they look back on their wedding photos. While trends and new looks can be fun to play with in your day-to-day life, when it comes to your bridal style many brides want to create an eternal beauty. In choosing classic and timeless styles, you can be sure that your wedding photos never look dates.

The Ballet Bun
Chic and classic, a ballet bun provides a beautiful yet low maintenance bridal hair look. This style is great if you want something that will stay in place all day that you don’t have to worry about or restyle. Try a low bun that sits just above the nape of the neck, add a little soft and feminine volume at the crown, and tease a few hairs out to frame the face.
When it comes to bridal up-dos, it doesn’t get more timeless than the chignon. With so many options, this classic style can be updated to suit your own unique sense of style. Try a chignon at the nape of the neck for a simple look, or to add a little more glamour go for a side chignon. If you’re style is more vintage or boho, consider adding braids and teasing a few hairs free. Leave simple, or add pretty flowers or a pearl encrusted slide.
Effortlessly romantic and easy to achieve, loose waves are perfect for those with longer hair. Think tumbling waves or a boho style without the beachy texture – wedding day waves should appear natural, yet neat and glossy. Try finishing the look by pulling back piece of hair from the front on one side, using a vintage slide to secure just above and slightly behind your ear.
Pretty and Pink
A natural makeup look and a pretty nude-pink lip will never look dated. This flattering look works for almost all skin tones and is perfect if you’re going for an understated style. Think dewy skin with lots of highlighter on your cheek bones and brow bones, a soft smokey brown eye and a soft nude-pink lip, finished with a pat of balm to add a soft and natural shine.
The Feline Flick
The classic eye flick seems to be a look that we’re still supporting decade after decade. There’s a good reason for this – it’s classic, super flattering and sophisticated. Make your eyes the focal point and go for a minimal makeup look. Work with a makeup artist to discover whether you better suit a thin and subtle flick, or whether you can go for something a little more daring.
